This past weekend, the streets of Shekou felt a little warmer. As the 3rd Shenzhen Art Week took over the city, visitors walking past the Sea World Culture and Arts Center were met with a sight that was impossible to miss and even harder not to love.
High above the crowd stood two giant pandas locked in a simple, quiet embrace. This is "2026 Panda Expression," the latest global premiere by renowned artist Zhao Bandi. In a world that often feels fast and digital, this installation was a reminder of something deeply human: the power of a hug.
Our team had the incredible privilege of bringing this emotional vision into the physical world. Turning an artist's sketch into a massive, 10-meter-tall outdoor installation is always a unique challenge. It’s not just about size; it’s about capturing the "warmth" in the material and ensuring the structure could withstand the sea breeze while maintaining its soft, inviting look.
