Gauss Inflatable Brings 15-Meter "Hello Koma" to Life for Shenzhen's National Day Celebration

    Source: South Development Net · China Daily   Published:2026-09-07 11:18:53 Hits:345 Category:Event Inflatables

Some mascots wave from a stage. This one towers over a shopping mall atrium all fifteen meters of it wearing a dreamy pink glow and a smile big enough for every camera in Shenzhen. When the first-ever "嗨萌马 Hello Koma" pop-up opened at K11 ECOAST in Qianhai-Shekou during the 2025 National Day holiday, the star of the show wasn't on a pedestal. It was the pedestal: a giant inflatable pony manufactured by Gauss Inflatables, engineered to become the event's instant icon.

The Character: A Mascot Born in the Greater Bay Area

Hello Koma is the original IP of Shenzhen Kaile Xinlian Culture Technology Co., Ltd. widely recognized as the mascot of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Born in Shenzhen, the character fuses Greater Bay Area cultural DNA with traditional Chinese palace color aesthetics: a white-jade body and a starlight mane, quietly pairing technology with heritage.

Scaled to fifteen meters, that charm becomes impossible to miss. The rounded, soft contours that make the mascot adorable at plush-toy size translate into bold, friendly geometry at landmark scale a character that reads clearly from the mall entrance, the escalator and the third-floor café alike, and photographs beautifully from every angle.

The Moment: A National Day Debut at K11 ECOAST

Co-created by Kaile Xinlian and K11 ECOAST the Hong Kong-born cultural destination built on an "Art · People · Nature" philosophy the pop-up marked Hello Koma's first major offline appearance. Running from September 28 to October 31, 2025 in the North Pavilion's second-floor atrium, it opened right on time for China's National Day holiday, when Shenzhen's streets fill with families, tourists and, above all, phone cameras.

Around the giant pony, four experience zones kept the crowds moving: themed ice-cream machines serving Hello Koma-shaped treats, AR photo booths with mascot frames, a pink-toned photo area under soft artistic lighting, and a cultural merchandise zone debuting the first wave of Hello Koma goods. Free to visit and built for sharing, the space turned an IP debut into an urban art celebration and the 15-meter pony into the most photographed resident of Qianhai.

The Build: Engineering a 15-Meter Landmark

Bringing a beloved mascot to landmark scale takes the same precision Gauss applies to every custom installation. The pony is constructed from high-frequency welded PVC, printed in the brand's signature colors, and finished to hold its smooth, rounded silhouette indoors for weeks of continuous display. Our rapid inflation system and modular panel design meant fast setup in a busy mall environment and clean, simple take-down when the season ended.

Because the installation lived in an indoor atrium, weight, balance and air pressure were engineered carefully so the structure stayed perfectly taut and camera-ready throughout the event period. The result is a mascot that doesn't just stand it performs, holding its pose through thousands of photos, handshakes and selfies without losing a single wrinkle of charm.

The Meaning: When Brands Dream Bigger

Hello Koma's giant debut is part of a larger story: custom inflatables have become one of the most powerful tools in brand marketing. China produces an estimated 60–70% of the world's inflatables, and from mall atriums to stadium concourses, a giant mascot turns a logo into a landmark and a landmark into a memory.

At Gauss Inflatables, we don't just fill shapes with air we engineer the characters that carry a brand's pride, from five-meter storefront friends to fifteen-meter festival icons. If you can dream it, we can inflate it.
